The deseyuno especial was completely authentic. It took me back to my abuelita Estella in Honduras, who made me the same breakfast regularly. It was so good with the sweet red beans that I cried at the table. It really made me miss my family in La Ceiba. I stuffed myself and I even ordered a Baleada too because I had to have one. They are gigantic and taste amazing.

Scrumptious food. Ordered the house plate and there was enough food for 3 people. Chicken and pork chops very tender w/ a delicious grilled flavor. Chorizo was also grilled and very good. Homemade chips and salsa was SO good - not spicy at all. The horchata is good but different from Mexican horchata.
Met the cook and she was very friendly. She gave us rice when inquired if it was available but not included w/ the house plate.
My new favorite restaurant in Iowa City and will be returning soon to enjoy another delectable dinner. 😋😋😋

SCRUMPTIOUS!!!! Ordered the Platos de Casa for 2 people and it's enough delicious food for 3 to enjoy. The chicken and pork chops are very tender and eating w/ the homemade beans and rice on a freshly made flour tortilla is extremely satisfying. Will be visiting again to try other delectable items on the menu. 😋😋😋

Food was 5*!! Best AL Pastor tacos I’ve had, and I have had a lot of them….lol. Partner was amazed by the fish tacos! Everything we ordered was fabulous! Language barrier was difficult but navigated well. Will be back!! Highly recommend!
